Jewish orthodoxy, religion, and postmodernity

Description: This research aims to reflect on the dilemmas faced by Judaism in general and Jewish orthodoxy in particular in the context of postmodernity. It is important that this project covers currents of Brazilian Judaism as well as those developed in Israel and other countries of the Jewish diaspora.

Israeli society: culture and identity

Description: The goal of this project is to understand the most important traits of Israeli society and culture, especially since the 1990s. This project was created in 2004 and two graduate students who joined the Program in the first semester of 2005 are involved in it.
